[  G E N E R A L   I N F O  ]
Name: Heinzel Erise Krauser
Age: 16
Sex: male
Height: 5'6"

[  C O N T R A C T    D E M O N  ]
Contract Demons are the primary cause of human suicide. These entities grant death to their client's target at the price of their soul. Their powers feed on the quality of souls they collect. In Heinzel's case however, he is a contract demon in training.

Enhanced Endurance - Heinzel is able to do feats beyond human power and resist damage. but given that he still has half the body of a human, he would experience extreme fatigue after an hour use of his ability.

Superhuman Strength - as a half contract demon at his age can only lift up to 950kg, the same consequences are to be experienced if he were to use this ability for a long duration of time.

[ Impulsive ♦ Optimistic ♦ Uncompromising ♦ Sarcastic ♦ Deceiving ♦ Loyal ]

The young boy's impulsive nature is what ultimately landed him in his present circumstance, but given that he has a goal set in mind, Heinzel isn't exactly the person who would sit around waiting for something to happen. He likes taking things into his own hands and doing tasks in such a brisk and edgy manner that others sometimes find it hard to keep up with.

Despite the unfortunate event, he's willing to accept all experiences as a challenge, given that he has instinctive understanding of what has to be done to get out of any problem. He knows how to play by the rules and is quite stoic to situations when people fail to meet the terms.

Heinzel's often times sarcastic in conversations to express his dislike of people who would beat around the bush when trying to get something across or simply when he has no choice but to give people the 'small talk' they want to have.

Unfortunately for some, Heinzel doesn't tolerate anything superficial and would avoid people for it. When it comes to relationships, people should well be aware of the young contract demon's unlikely friendliness, since his primary reason for establishing such relationship might be just for his personal benefit alone. However, a select few who would be able to stand him would likely reap his undying loyalty in time.

"Let's have a deal, how about that?"

- Heinzel, age 13

Heinzel was once human. The young boy was once quiet and indifferent, a scholar who blatantly refused to acknowledge the people around him with the exception of his friend Grazio who was almost like a brother to him.

A child to a single mom, Grazio was able to relate to Heinzel who had more or less the similar case as him. Grazio, being the only person Heinzel was able to run to whenever things at home would get out of hand, has understood that Heinzel was different, the kind of different someone would eminate when they take nothing for granted.

When together, the two would escape to a world children like them would like to call their own. They would listen to each other's ghost stories or anything supernatural. They would play around with objects that most people would deem cursed, and even keep it in their secret hideout as their most prized possession. To Heinzel, it seems like Grazio's companionship was his only sanctuary from the permanently strained atmosphere he struggles to deal with everyday at home.

But things started getting strange when Grazio went missing for 3 days. They later found him lying unconscious by the riverbank and fortunately was able to recover a few days after. Although people thought things were back to normal, Heinzel knew that something about Grazio was off. Often times he would be seen staring faraway or despondent to his surroundings.

The drastic change bothered Heinzel a lot, but people around him simply told Heinzel that his best friend was gravely ill. The boy, however, refused to believe it was simply just that and resented everyone who ignored what was apparent. He tried everything he can to get Grazio back, but to no avail.

It went on for years until such time that Heinzel was left with no choice but to accept the truth that the Grazio they have now wasn't the same Grazio who was his bestfriend before. Through the years, although Heinzel has grown distant from Grazio, he would still find himself visiting his friend whenever he can.

It wasn't long before Heinzel succumbed back to his indifference with a newly found prejudice to arm himself from people who are getting too friendly with him. Heinzel didn't like the idea of making new friends when he can't even stay to protect one.

One night, Heinzel has volunteered to accompany Grazio while the latter's mom was out. As he was about to sleep, a loud bang from the next room jolted him awake. Dashing in, only to find Grazio sprawled on the floor, gasping for breath as if an invisible hand was choking him.

Frigthened yet determined, he tried to call for help, but no one seemed to have heard him. Heinzel growing desperate by the minute could do nothing but to scream for it to stop, until

"Pathetic." said a raspy voice that echoed from the shadows.

The form of a human with horns solidifying across the room frightened the young boy more than ever, and watched in horror as it walked nearer. The humanoid then announced herself as a contract demon who seems to be barely holding on with half of her body translucent.

As it turns out, Grazio initially made a contract with the demon in order to prevent the Demon from collecting his mother's soul who had a contract with the Demon previously as well. It has been a chain of contracts for the sake of saving another's soul for the Demon, and she's apparently fed up with it.

Grazio's soul was a piece the contract demon needs to create another body for her spirit to latch onto, and Heinzel, of course, would have none of it.

"I want to have a contract --"

"I sure as hell don't." she retorted.

Desperate to save his friend's soul the boy stopped asking for a contract that it made the Demon stop for a second,

" You don't need a soul, when you could have a body." Heinzel said suddenly.

That night, a different kind of contract was signed. Heinzel agreed to be the container of the contract demon's spirit consequently making him half demon, half human; all this allowing the contract demon to keep her existence in the human world intact. Grazio's contract was nullified and his soul was finally left in peace.

But there's a catch.

A human soul binded with a demon's spirit would little by little be corrupted by evil and corruption of one's soul eventually leads to the destruction of it's body. To prevent this, Heinzel must gather all the souls the Demon needs within the time given by the contract to form a new body for the Demon to inhabit.

And there's a problem.

Armed only with half of the contract demon's newly gained powers, the young boy doesn't have a clue how to pull off a demon's act nor accomplish a contract demon's task. Fortunately for Heinzel, the Demon who knows things other than trading people for their demise, gave him a clue and suggested for him to enroll to Otherworlde Academy.

Hesitant at first, the boy tried researching about the said place. After making sure that the place was not just any hoax the Demon was playing at him, he packed his things. Lying to his parents about having a one week field trip, he reserved a day to visit Grazio for the last time.

Upon seeing his friend, Heinzel for the first time in many years, smiled. He was relieved that his friend was back to his old self again, and sad because he will have to leave in such an abrupt manner.

And so with a task at hand, Heinzel enrolls for Otherworlde Academy to learn how to be a contract demon.

♦ He likes settling things with deals and bets, a habit he nurtured to set things straight with people.
The Demon's spirit talks in Heinzel's head from time to time. Talk about annoying.
Heinzel would often be seen hanging out in the academy's library.
Heinzel actually came from a well off family, it's just the people who are part of it are the problem.
As a safety measure, the Demon has placed a mark on Heinzel for him to be able to contain his soul even when her spirit is on full operation or when using demonic powers.

Heinzel: He closes the book he was reading to stare up to the stranger in front of him. "Yes?" he asked, not really wanting to go through introductories and seeing as the person might be in need of something.

[ Lit. ]
Heinzel: Ten minutes before Chronomancy he thought, checking the time. ugh... damn it. He scratches the back of his head then stretches out his arms. He's worn out. He's been studying for weeks and was struggling with a few topics in class the whole night, and it doesn't help that a couple was making out just beyond the next shelf the whole time he was studying. It's one of the many instances he'd be stuck in a place just because he can't leave without making a noise. He may have to look for another place to study if ever the library is permanently converted into a motel or something. He sighs for the second time that day, the corridors was unsually packed that morning, but the teeming crowd just seem to be avoiding him like plague as he trudged on to his destination. There might still be time to check out books in the library but the boy decides against it as he swings his bag to his other shoulder. He halts from walking, when a small figure of a girl came into view. "Excuse me." he muttered with a slight glare, overlooking the fact that the girl might actually have been looking for him.
